A host of high ranking industry leaders and business owners were present at the “Much More Than Linux” breakfast event hosted on Tuesday 23rd of June 2015 at the Hilton Hotel in Nicosia.
The event was organized by ZEBRA Consultants, in collaboration with Red Hat.
The attendees expressed an interest to be informed over what Red Hat had to offer in terms of technology solutions, as well how those solutions could be implemented by ZEBRA Consultants, the only Red Hat Advanced Business partner on the island.
ZEBRA Consultants managing director George Christodoulou addressed the event, explaining how companies that fall behind in the technology advancement race are doomed to fail and push clients to the arms of competitors.
“Red Hat solutions is the golden ticket to that wealth of potential clients. Products provided by Red Hat ensure that when it comes to the technology race you are not left behind, wondering what went wrong,” he said, adding that companies that fail to embrace progress and adapt to the new age are facing failure.
Explaining the event title, Christodoulou noted that Red Hat solutions is Much More Than Linux and that it also involves Management, Storage, Middleware, Integration and much more.
Additionally, he stressed that the market is now more mature and receptive to bold, new ideas and that is imperative to ride what he called “the cloud momentum”.
“Solutions like OpenStack, CloudForms and OpenShift allow you to harness the massive potential of this technology and evolve your company to adapt to this new era demands,” noted Christodoulou.
Also present at the event was Red Hat’s top solution architect in the region, Guy Carmin, who made a detailed presentation of Red Hat’s cloud solutions such as OpenStack, CloudForms and OpenShift.
The event came to an end with a Q&A session and one-to-one meetings.
